Lovejoy takes great pride in being able to offer a wide variety of superior disc coupling products in models designed to meet the application needs of today’s worldwide power transmission market.

Using advanced design techniques, implementation of Finite Element Analysis, and extensive testing of materials, Lovejoy has developed an innovative disc pack profile design revolutionary to traditional disc pack designs found in the market. This disc pack can accommodate 1/2° to 1-1/2° of angular misalignment, and is used in all Lovejoy disc coupling products.

Lovejoy disc packs are manufactured using high grade stainless steel (AISI-301), ensuring high strength, high endurance to fatigue, and resistance to most environmental conditions.

Lovejoy disc couplings utilize unitized disc packs with 4, 6 or 8 bolt designs. While the 8 bolt design can transmit greater torque than the 6 or 4 bolt design, it is not able to accommodate as much angular misalignment.

Lovejoy couplings can also be fitted with overload bushings to protect the disc pack during momentary torsional overloads.

SU Type Industrial Coupling

  • Single flex plane with two hubs and a single disc pack
  • For angular and axial misalignment only
  • Two SU couplings are often combined with a shaft to make a floating shaft coupling; shaft can be hollow for long light weight floating shaft couplings
  • ATEX Certified

SX Type Industrial Coupling

  • Standard disc coupling; 2 hubs, 1 stock length spacer designed to meet industry standard lengths, & 2 unitized disc packs
  • Two flex planes (one at each disc pack) accommodate parallel, angular, and axial misalignment
  • Available in 4, 6 and 8 bolt designs; bore sizes up to 13 inches (330mm) 
  • Custom spacer lengths & overload bushing available
  • ATEX Certified
DI-6 Iso

DI Type (Drop-In Spacer) Coupling

  • “Drop-In” spacer assembly coupling; 2 hubs and spacer assembly (comprising of the spacer, 2 unitized disc packs, and 2 guard rings)
  • Hubs are piloted - ensures proper centering, as an anti-flail feature
  • Meets API-610 balance and anti-flail requirements
  • Oversized hubs available, allows for the use of smaller couplings where applicable
  • ATEX Certified

SXC Type Close Coupled Industrial Coupling

  • Close coupled variation of the SX Type coupling
  • Hubs turned inward and mounted inside the spacer. 
  • Can be used with one or both hubs turned outward for different shaft separations.
  • ATEX Certified

SXCS Type Close Coupled Split Spacer Coupling

  • Split spacer couplings, where disc packs can be serviced or removed without moving hubs
  • SXCS Type – connecting bolts are installed from the end of the hubs inward, pointing towards the spacer
  • ATEX Certified

SXCST Type Close Coupled Split Spacer Coupling

  • Split spacer couplings, where disc packs can be serviced or removed without moving hubs
  • SXCST Type – connecting bolts are installed from inside the spacer outward, pointing towards the hubs
  • ATEX Certified

DIR & DILR Type (Drop-In Spacer) Coupling

  • Disc coupling designed to be a direct replacement for floating shaft gear couplings
  • DIR Type – includes flanged style rigid hubs for mounting to equipment 
  • DILR Type – designed to work with existing rigid hubs
