Lovejoy, Inc. introduces new ROSTA components type DW-A/C 15 to DW-A/C 27 for today’s leaner, slimmed-down mechanical engineering installations. The series is comprised of the most widely used, popular rubber suspension unit sizes within the industry. The new rubber suspension system has proven to be up to 15 percent more cost-effective than previous systems that utilize additional parts such as clips, straps and clamps.
Up until now, clips, straps and clamps have made possible the installation of the ROSTA rubber suspension elements of types DR-A/S/C and DK-A/S/C and sizes 15 to 27 into general mechanical engineering installations – but these complicated fixations, with additional devices for spring suspension, do not conform to the modern logistical requirements for built-on elements: as few, slim and ready-to-mount components as possible – with minimal to no installation outlay.
The brackets and clamps for the fixation of the elastic suspensions have to be ordered separately from the rubber suspension elements, and are often forgotten in the parts lists or cause additional outlay in mounting and positioning. In terms of modern procurement, these conventional rubber suspension elements no longer are “user-friendly.”
The outer parts of the new DW-A/C series are manufactured from extruded light alloy sections, with the loading capacities of Steel 37, and already have drilled mounting flanges to enable the simple fixation of ROSTA rubber suspensions in the machine by the customer.
In addition to the final project cost savings, the installation of the components also turns out to be much simpler from a logistic and installation viewpoint.
The most common industrial application for the DW range from ROSTA:
- In the veneer and chipboard industry as thrust bearings for guide rollers
- As series or parallel connected elements as hinges for cover hoods
- As hinge bearings and stops for swivel mechanisms in door construction
- As installation—friendly spring suspensions in large production runs
- As small motor bases for friction belt drives
- In the “Playground equipment” sector as base and swivel bearings
